Oldest magician to fool Penn and Teller

Penn and Teller have been performing magic together in one way or another for close to five decades. Fooling them on the Penn & Teller: Fool Us show is tough as Penn is 68 years old while Teller is 75, and they have seen it all in magic. The oldest fooler to stump Penn and Teller was the 70-year-old Chris Capehart, who did it with a trick that involved popping a balloon in season 7 episode 17.

Chris had been performing magic for over fifty years. In 1969, Capehart was 19 when he walked by the Apollo Theater and saw a poster of the black magician Earl 'Presto' Johnson' on the wall. He would meet the man, get inspired, and even learn some tricks from him. From there, Chris would perform magic on the streets before becoming a headliner and eventually an award-winning and famous magician.
