Oldest first-time UFC champ
Glover Teixeira's first MMA fight was in 2002 when he was 22. He joined the UFC in 2012. He lost a battle for the Light Heavyweight championship against Jon Jones in 2014. Glover would not get another shot at the title until seven years and fifteen fights later.
At UFC 267, Teixeira would be an underdog to Jan Błachowicz in the main event. He would submit Jan in the second round with a rear-naked choke to win the Light Heavyweight belt at the age of 42. He became the oldest first-time UFC champion.
