Matt Serra vs. Georges St-Pierre

Today, Georges St-Pierre is considered one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. There were high expectations for GSP even back when he first won the UFC Welterweight Championship in 2006. He was 13-1 with his only loss against a former champion in Matt Hughes.

Matt Serra was an MMA fighter specializing in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the first American to receive a black belt from Renzo Gracie. Serra won the Ultimate Fighter 4 Welterweight Tournament to secure a title fight.

GSP was the easy favorite. 13-1 versus 9-4, a 5-inch height advantage and 8-inch reach advantage. The betting lines went up to -1300 for GSP and +850 for Serra. No other champions had ever lost a title being this big a favorite at the time.

Matt Serra won by TKO in 3:25 of the first round, handing GSP the second and final loss of his career.
