Larl's redemption at The International 12
Team Spirit invited Denis "Larl" Sigitov to join their Dota 2 team after a disappointing performance at The International 11 in December 2022. Larl, a midlaner, was to replace TORONTOTOKYO, a fan favorite that played a significant role in helping the team win TI 10. The team did not get off to a great start in 2023 and struggled to win any tournament before June.
Fans blamed Larl for the team's struggles due to his performance and being the new team member. Larl's previous team, BetBoom, finished last at the previous TI, so he was an easy target. He was called dead weight and trash, among other insults. Larl started improving throughout the year, and in June, the team won its first 2023 tournament at the DPC EEU 2023 Tour 3: Division I. Larl and Team Spirit would win the Riyadh Masters in July, DreamLeague in September, and finally, The International in October.
Larl was one of the most improved players of the year; he didn't let his struggles and fan negativity get him down. In the end, Team Spirit had one of the most dominant TI runs ever, and Larl was a big part of that.

What happened to ts previous mid laner and why did they pick up larl. He is out classed by everyone in the major. He has won less than 15% of his lanes and is consistantly the lowest net worth core in the game. Its so depressing to watch yataro and collapse trying to carry his dead weight every game.

Just needs to work on his csing, ganking, farming, stacking, camera usage, attacking, defending, spell casting, vision, decision making, retreating, communicating, pathing, impact, itemising, pushing, having better cosmetics, shot calling, positioning and getting kills.

Larl is definitely the most improved. For a long time, imo, larl looked like a tier 2 mid at his best and was the main reason they were getting terrible results. Its kind of impressive they stuck together and even managed to make it work.

Agreed. I don’t think Larl is talked about enough here. He was perhaps the only player to make pango look OP in that second game, keeping top not worth almost the entire game. Come game 3, he is basically the sole reason they were able to make it out of that incredibly oppressive mid game for the collapse SB and yatoro to finally pop off.
