Good Omens' empty book signing

You may have heard of Terry Pratchett for his work on the Discworld books. In addition, you may know many of Neil Gaiman's works through television or movies, such as The Sandman, American Gods, and Coraline. These two famous-today authors paired together to write Good Omens.
The book was published in 1990; it has sold over five million copies, and Amazon created a television series based on it. Good Omens was Gaiman's first novel, but Pratchett was a big name at that point. Yet, they were still waiting for someone to show up when they held a signing in Manhattan for the book. No one did show.
