Eugénie Brazier is one of two women to be the first to get three Michelin stars in 1933. She was awarded three stars each for her two restaurants, La Mère Brazier in Lyon and another restaurant with the same name outside of the city; this made her the first person to gain six Michelin stars.

She opened her first restaurant, the one in Lyon, in 1921, and it gained two stars in 1932. It was awarded three stars the following year and held it until 1968. The restaurant is open today under different ownership and still serves some of Eugénie's classic dishes.
