Drew Carey's Weight Loss Journey
Images
If you only know Drew Carey for his more recent stint as the host of The Price Is Right, you might not know he once was a lot heavier than what he looks like now. Before 2010, he weighed 262 pounds, was a size 44, and was diabetic. The last time he was in shape was during his military days in his 20s.
At 51 years old, Carey committed to losing weight after struggling to keep up with his fiancee's 5-year-old son. He set a goal to drop 92 pounds within a year. A year later, Carey didn't quite meet that goal but lost 77 pounds and dropped his waist size down to 34. More importantly, his type 2 diabetes improved to the point that he didn't need medication to treat it anymore.
Drew accomplished this by sticking to a no-carb diet while exercising. Cardio was a significant factor, and Drew would run for 45 minutes at a time, sometimes six times a week. He would only drink water and have the occasional cheat meal. At one point, Carey wasn't sure if he would make it past 60. Today, he is halfway past 60 and still in healthy shape.

No carbs,...I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or like, Greek yogurt, cut some fruit.
