Going from the worst to the best is uncommon, but you see sports teams achieving this every few years. However, doing this as an individual is difficult, let alone at the wide receiver position.

The Green Bay Packers selected Davante 53rd in the second round in the 2014 NFL draft, the ninth receiver. Three rookie wide receivers exceeded 1,000 yards that year. Davante Adams was nowhere close with only 446 yards. In his second season, he had 483 yards but dropped 12 passes. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the worst receiver in the league his rookie year and the second-worst receiver in his second year.

He rapidly improved with 997 receiving yards the next year and made the Pro Bowl. Since then, he has made the Pro Bowl every year, and Pro Football Focus ranked Davante as the best receiver in 2020 and 2021.
