The Colorado Avalanche was down 5-0 to the Florida Panthers with less than two minutes to go in the second period. Peter Forsberg would score a goal to cut the lead to four. In the final period, Forsberg would score two goals and assist on three other goals out of the six Colorado goals to win the game 7-5.
