The second time a team came back down when down by 12 runs was on June 15, 1925, when the Philadelphia Athletics beat the Cleveland Indians 17-15. The A's were down 14-2 entering the bottom of the sixth and down 15-4 going into the eighth inning. However, they would score 13 runs to take the lead and win the game 17-15.
