Mr. Irrelevant QB
Tom Brady has only had a losing regular season record in 2022; his worst record prior was 9-7. Only a few NFL quarterbacks can say they beat him. When Brock Purdy was drafted last overall in the 2022 NFL draft and became Mr. Irrelevant, making an NFL team was a long shot, let alone beating Tom. Purdy accomplished just that in his NFL start.
No Mr. Irrelevant QB has ever thrown a pass in the NFL before. However, Purdy threw well in the win against the Miami Dolphins when he had to fill in for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo. He then threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns against Brady and the Buccaneers in a 35-7 win. But he did not stop there and has thrown for more than ten touchdowns in the season.

How Brock Purdy Was Rebuilt
Brock Purdy came out of Iowa State built a little bit too much like a fullback. He has humongous quadricep muscles, which, as a thrower, placed him on his toes more frequently and forced him to draw energy from muscles you wouldn’t ideally call upon in a passing motion. He was, in a clinical sense, a bit “pushy.”
