Doubted at QB to winning Heisman and MVP

Lamar Jackson had a successful first year at Louisville, rushing for 960 yards and throwing for 1840 yards and 12 touchdowns. However, Lamar's second year was astonishing as he rushed for 1,571 yards with 21 rushing touchdowns while throwing for 3,543 yards and 30 passing touchdowns. With this performance, Jackson would win the Heisman Trophy, becoming the youngest-ever winner.

He would follow up with an impressive junior season, nearly matching the numbers from the previous year, before entering the 2018 NFL draft. However, many skeptics didn't think Lamar could or should stay a quarterback due to his passing abilities and wanted him to be drafted as a running back or wide receiver to take advantage of his purported 4.34 speed. Lamar was unyielding about playing quarterback in the NFL; he went to Louisville because they promised he would only play at quarterback.

Lamar was the fifth QB drafted, 32nd overall, by the Baltimore Ravens. He would play all 16 games in his rookie year but only started the last 7, throwing for 1201 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 695 yards and five touchdowns. Once again, Jackson would have a fantastic second year, throwing for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns while rushing for 1,206 yards with seven touchdowns. He would also win the MVP award unanimously.
