Clint Eastwood started acting in 1955, and by the time he was an A-list actor in 1971, he began directing. He never won any Academy Awards for acting but won 4 for directing, the first two for Best Director and Best Picture for the movie Unforgiven in 1993. His last two wins were for the same award but for the movie Million Dollar Baby instead in 2005. He was 74 when he won, making him the oldest director to win either Oscar.
