Predrag Radosavljević, also known as Preki, is the oldest MLS MVP at 40 years old. He won the award for the second time in 2003, six years after his first MVP. Fittingly, he scored the same amount of goals and assists for the Sporting Kansas City team in both years, 12 and 17, respectively. The next oldest player to win the award is five years younger than him.

He led MLS in scoring with 12 goals and 17 assists and guided the Wizards to a second-place finish in the Western Conference.
