Becoming a One Piece scholar

Besides Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, and the people who work closely with him, you're likely not going to find a more renowned expert/scholar in the world of One Piece than Artur. Artur, aka Arthur or Ohara, created the Library of Ohara, a website that dove deeper into each chapter in 2015. What started as a weekly chapter breakdown with few initial visitors has become the best source for in-depth analysis of each One Piece chapter.

Artur was only sixteen years old when he initially made his website. Redditors and One Piece fans would love the Chapter Secrets post and the other content he would create. In 2019, shortly after turning 21, he published his first YouTube video. In that video, Artur admitted to being socially awkward and having stage fright in front of a microphone. He practiced for a few months before posting that first video. Perhaps taking inspiration from the One Piece protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, he said he would keep trying to make videos despite his fear.

As of November 2023, Artur has created over one hundred YouTube videos. He had never stopped posting his weekly chapter analysis, which is nearing a count of three hundred. Besides fans recognizing his expertise, the people behind the One Piece Live Action TV show also hired him to help with the script's reference content, such as lore and timelines. The person who researched One Piece and shared analysis in his spare time has now become a scholar hired by others to ensure the One Piece adaptation was true to form.
